MY WORK
Photography became my favorite form of expression at the age of eight, when I took my first snapshot with a Smiena - a Russian made camera. Since then photography techniques have evolved so have I. From the early days I embraced a journalistic style of photography which has allowed me to penetrate the ordinary surroundings and search for beauty exploring places that other people pass by. My constant quest to capture life as it happens has resulted in images that reflect everyday’s reality. Photography is a magical process by which what seems to be ordinary and volatile at the first glance transforms into something that is extraordinary and long-lasting.

I am faithful to the French school of photography. My gurus are Henri Cartier Bresson and Andre Kertesz. Black and white, film based photography has been my favorite medium for some 25 years. My Hexar and Nikon 35mm cameras have become my life companions. I have been fortunate to have numerous opportunities to share my work through exhibitions in many places in Canada, Mexico, US, Costa Rica and Europe. It is a privilege to see my work as part of private collections in many parts of the world including North America (Canada, USA), Latin America (Honduras, Costa Rica, Argentina, Venezuela, Mexico) and Europe (Serbia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Greece, Slovakia, Poland, Spain, Romania, Azerbaijan). |
