I have been dedicated to photography for some twenty five years.
My photographic work has four objectives: to engage, to educate, to empower and to inspire. Using the power of the photographic lens
my role is to be a catalyst for change and to foster a dialogue regarding
issues
facing us a society.
I am also an intercultural connector.
Having lived in the East (26 years in Poland) and the West (20 years in
Norway and Canada) I have developed a good understanding of issues facing both
worlds. I speak seven languages.
As a photographer, I have been trying to capture life as it happens with
emphasis on emotional impact of an image.
I have participated in more than twenty individual and group shows in
Canada and abroad. In 2005, I was
awarded a Grand Prix at The Guadalajara
Biennale for Women Photographers. I
have been using traditional photo-techniques, mostly in black and white,
enhanced by infrared technique.
My photography has a human focus aiming at documenting the challenges of
the present, reflecting on the past and bringing hope for the future.
